Buttered Steak
Rain or shine, get barbecuing this Bank Holiday and complement your steaks, corn on the cob, asparagus or anything you fancy with Matt Sworder's signature herb butter.
Our resident Friends of Butter chef Matt regularly turns his hand to create a seasonal buttery treat and this herb butter is the perfect accompaniment to steak, as well as so many other dishes.
Ingredients:
110g butter (softened)
1 tbsp fresh basil
1 tbsp fresh parsley
½ tbsp fresh thyme
½ tbsp fresh rosemary
½ tbsp honey
Salt and pepper
Method:
1. Finely chop all of the herbs.
2. Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix well with a wooden spoon.
3. Roll the mixture into a log, then roll tightly in cling film and refrigerate.
