The Winning Taste: Builder's Breakfast
More than 1.2million Brits entered the Walkers 'Do Yourself a Flavour' contest to create a new addition to the range of crisps and 232,336 voted for the winning combo of bacon, buttered toast, eggs and tomato.
Emma Rushin’s Builder’s Breakfast flavour came out on top from the six finalists chosen by British chef Heston Blumenthal.
The delicious crisps are set to become Emma’s bread and butter when on top of her £50,000 winner’s cheque, she will also receive 1% of all future sales, which Walkers predict to be around £57,000 a year.
Culinary mastermind Heston Blumenthal admitted: “The builder’s breakfast is a national institution.”
