Deep Fried... Beer?
We've tried deep fried butter, but what about deep fried beer? Photo by Mark Zable.
Recently we wrote about the American faddeep fried butter, but now things have been taken that one step further.

Deep fried butter recently crossed the border – and made headlines – as the most popular new snack at the 2010 Canadian National Exhibition and has inspired more people to experiment with deep frying.

And the latest cuisine to get the deep frying treatment is… beer! While you may not immediately think it is possible to deep fry a liquid, creator Mark Zable disagrees. While he won’t give away any recipe secrets, the basic idea is to encase some beer in a salty pretzel dough and deep fry for less than 20 seconds. According to Mark, “it tastes like you took a bite of hot pretzel dough and then took a drink of beer.” While there may be no butter involved, we’re still intrigued!
