Make Butter Use of Your Waste
Create something delicious with left over food and drink!
"Each year we pour £1.4bn worth of unwanted drinks down the drain," according to The Times, and it seems that the liquids we chuck away can be used to create delicious dishes - all it takes is a little bit of butter!

Kate Colquhoun, author of ‘The Thrifty Cookbook: 476 Ways to Eat Well with Leftovers’ is praised in the Times for her compilation of ‘waste not want not’ recipes using leftover tea and coffee, discarded beer, wine and cider.

One of our favourites is Marguerite Patten’s eggless fruit cake with tea, which uses stale tea bags and butter as a key part of its delicious taste. Another great recipe is Boeuf Bourguignon with a thick rich gravy made from leftover beer and cider, which is dotted with butter to enhance the taste.

By trying your hand at making these buttery delights, not only are you getting to eat something delicious, you’re also saving your liquid assets!
