How to Make... Everything!
How to... butter your toast!
We all have our own special way of making something, but did you know that there is a scientific way to butter your toast?

According to Professor Bronek Wedzicha, a food scientist at Leeds university, the success of your toast is directly proportional to the butter. Or, more specifically, it’s all about having the sufficient number of butter patches to melt across your toast…

To make the perfect butter toast, you should follow this scientific method. First, the bread should be heated to exactly 120°C and the butter must come straight from the fridge. You then have two minutes to unevenly spread your butter. But it is not as simply as that… The amount of butter that you use needs to be proportional to the thickness of the bread – one-17th to be exact.
