Making Christmas Sugar Cookies
Blog Entry: Monday 06 Dec 2010
Number one tip for making sugar cookies - use butter!
Sugar cookies are Santa's favourite, especially when they're made with real butter!
Sugar cookies are a Christmas tradition that everyone loves – even Santa – but they can be a bit tricky to get right, unless you use a few tips from the experts.
Firstly, use real butter! Spreads will often contain water which affects the end result of your baking effort. The fat in real butter also provides the flavour of the cookies and will help the rolled-out cookies keep their shape.
Using salted butter is fine, but don’t forget to adjust the levels of salt required by the recipe accordingly.
