Oh So Useful Butter!
Blog Entry: Monday 22 Feb 2010
While butter is often simply considered one of those staple kitchen ingredients, it is actually incredibly useful far beyond baking.
If you smear the cut end of your cheese with butter before popping it in the fridge, it won’t dry out and won’t become mouldy. You could also add a touch of butter to your pasta and it won’t boil over while you pop to the lounge to watch your favourite soap.
Butter is even quite useful in the bathroom. The oil in butter makes for an ideal skin softener when you shave or convince someone to give you a foot massage.
Keeping a bit of butter in your handbag could also be a good idea. It is ideal for soothing dry hands and is absorbed quickly by the skin for when you’re on the go. It also quickly removes gum or sticky residues when rubbed into your hair.
