Plum Butter For Breakfast!

Looking for something a little different to add to your butter toast? How does homemade plum butter sound?

It’s quick and easy and makes the most of the fruit that is in season. Fruit butter is ideal to add something different to your morning butter and toast and is sure to be a hit – even with the kids!


Ingredients:


3 cans plums in juice (not syrup)
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 ½ cup sugar


Method:


Toss all ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on low for 3 to 5 hours. Check it to see when it is thick enough and transfer to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator.
