We love cheese and we love bacon. Add in some buttery biscuits and we are sold.
And when we say buttery biscuits we don’t mean the thin, crispy kind. No, we are talking thick, scone-like biscuits that require butter in the batter and to be brushed on top. With delicious ingredients like creamy buttermilk, tasty chives and tangy cheddar cheese, this recipe takes biscuit-making to a whole new level.
Surprisingly simple to make, these biscuits make an ideal change from boring white bread for your mid-morning sandwich. Simply break one in half, smother it in some butter and mustard, add a slice of ham and a little lettuce and consider your morning completely boosted.
