Butter sculptor Vipula Athukorale reveals his talent to the BBC
Sri Lankan sculptor, Vipula Athukorale, is world renowned for his skill in creating intricate pieces of butter art and now he's aiming for the top prize at this year's Salon International de la Gastronomie.
Currently based in Leicestershire, Vipula Athukorale is hoping his minutely detailed butter sculptures will win the top prize at the food competition in Luxembourg in November.
“And the level of detail in his work is so fine that he cannot even breathe on the butter before cutting figures,” reports the BBC.
“Sometimes I have to take a deep breath and hold it as I work,” says Vipula.
